What is more comforting and delicious on a cold fall or winter evening than an apple crumble fresh from the oven.

English Apple Crumble

Ingredients

Apples, peeled, cored, and sliced to fill baking dish
1-1/2 cups flour
1/2 cup sugar
4 oz. butter

Directions

Place apples in dish and sprinkle with a bit of sugar if they're tart.

Mix flour and sugar; cut in margerine and rub it with your fingers till it resembles coarse bread crumbs.

Sprinkle over apples; don't press down. Bake at 350 degrees Fahrenheit for about 1 hour. Delicious!
