Pancakes made healthier but still serve up tender, hearty and oh so delicious.

Pancakes American

Ingredients

2 cups flour (whole wheat pastry flour and buckwheat flour are most nutritious)
1/2 teaspoon baking powder
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 tablespoon sugar
5 tablespoons oil
1-2/3 cup water

Directions

Mix all ingredients gently. Some small lumps left are normal - you don't want to over mix or your pancakes will bet tough. Pour 1-2-inch radius on a skillet for each pancake.

Brown, flip, brown.

Enjoy with pure maple or fruit syrup!
