Apple Sausage

It is difficult to make a sausage healthy but add a little apple and be sure the meat is lean and enjoy this quick and easy fall favorite.
Mix 1 large apple finely chopped with 1 pound lean ground turkey or chicken.
Season with sage and rosemary and shape into breakfast sausage patties.
Cook in skillet over medium heat for 4 to 5 minutes on each side until meat reaches an internal temperature of 165 degrees.
Notable Note
Apple sausage has been commonly served as a breakfast sausage, frequently seasoned with sage. It's also been known as a fall holiday favorite; on the sweet side.
